Hello, space cadet. 🌝
It seemed like you were in the mood for some chaotic good. Excellent timing! Dom just penned an essay about his astrological coming of age. Skim the first few paragraphs below and check out the full thing on Medium if you dare.
Dom Returns to Saturn
Or Saturn Returns to Dom
Twenty-eight years ago, when I arrived on Earth, the Sun stood in the center of the Leo constellation. The moon floated in Virgo. Venus in Libra. And so on.
I’m feeling nostalgic about the solar system and how the skies looked on August 8, 1994, at 9:15 p.m. because, for the first time in 28 years, Saturn is returning to the exact spot he occupied on my 0th birthday.
Welcome back, jerk.
What is a Saturn Return?
In astrology, Saturn is associated with rigidity, authority, and boundaries. In Roman mythology, Saturn became jealous of his children, so he ate them. In space, Saturn is far away from the sun. So essentially, astrologists, astronomists, and gods agree Saturn is cold.
It takes Saturn about three decades to orbit the sun. Every 29.5 years, the ringed planet returns to the same place it stood when you were born. In other words, Saturn Returns.
In A Brief, Infinite History of Saturn Return, Lindsay Zoladz describes the phenomenon as a “time of great tumult, challenge, and change.”
If you’re in your Return to Saturn era, it might feel like you are wading through a steady stream of tough love.
Typically, your Saturn Return starts when you turn 27 and ends when you turn 30. I am in it. 😑

We’ll be back on October 15 with Volume 5.
Check us out on Medium for some extra chaos in between volumes. And Instagram! And feel free to follow us on Twitter, but it is so bad. Like embarrassingly bad.
I forgot to include the link to the full article in the original oops! Here it is: https://medium.com/@HppyMdmClb/saturn-returns-to-dom-906ce05a5493
